Global Accounts

I would like to update account creation to be more of a 'once in a lifetime' affair, rather than every round.

Global accounts have been implemented in such games as Star Kingdoms to make life easier for everyone, I'll outline some of the things I would like to do with this...

Outline:

Global account
 - Created once, basically the same as current signups
 - Once created you'll have a Warshire profile, but no in-game county YET, on resets only your in-game account is reset. Your Warshire profile is never reset
 - After a reset you can select a starting race and simply click 'Join' and your new county will be created. It would work the same if you were killed.
 - You use a username to login, no more emails
 - You can login to your Warshire profile and in this profile you'll find the following
    - the ability to create an ingame account (if one exists you will not be allowed to create another)
    - stats that are accumulated from each round (such as overall attacks/defenses, 5 strongest heroes/monsters ever, highest power, highest land, tourny wins/losses, challenge wins/losses, medals won, etc)
    - Your profile will be viewable to people, but you can hide contact details. Your county and location can also be hidden
    - Its also possible that you may be able to bring certain things into a new round (bonuses awarded by admins?)

Anyways thats the basics, its still in the planning phase so let me know what you guys think so far

Your ruler name can be different to your "login" name, then?
I like using a new name every round. (Originally because I thought I could hide that way, but now just becasue I like thinking up new "..... of ....." names each round )

I think it is a fantastic idea!

Would it be possible to link the public forums also to the global accounts, I realise this can be quite difficult, but it would make it far simpler to see who is who, but as late said before, makes it impossible to hide.

For me personally it makes no odds, I use the same name every round.

I especially like the idea of being able to see you're in-game past, it allows other user's to reallysee what kind of player you are

Awesome idea. Makes it more convenient.

And just to go with the flow: I also keep the same name. I don't care if people know who I am. Makes it more interesting, esp if someone is holding a grudge on me. (Though I don't see why anyone would, I'm not much of a threat like LATE! )

To me this would be a very good idea. I would enjoy the fact of being able to look back and compare diffrent rounds wether it be land or heroes.
